Green Arrow – Part Two
In 1987, with the launch of the history of Mike Grell Longbow Hunters and the series that followed, Green Arrow took a further advantage darker than before. In the story, Dinah is captured and tortured to the extent that she loses her sonic scream is made famous and sterile. Green Arrow joins a woman named Shado to save Dinah and eventually murders Dinah's attackers, going against a long tradition of Green Arrow with trick arrows to prevent killing. Shado drugged Ollie to conceive a child with him, a boy named Robert.
Eventually, the events depicted in Longbow Hunters began to place enormous pressure on Dina and Ollie's relationship, especially after they tried to conceive a child and found he could not have one. After discovering Ollie kissing a woman in her apartment the two broke up because Dina felt he could not no longer trust Ollie.
Although the breakdown of Dinah and Ollie was the last item Grell life following the rain of bad news Oliver Queen. Shortly after the break, his longtime best friend, Hal Jordan went crazy and tried to remake the universe. Hal Ollie shot in the chest to prevent him from doing so.
Next confrontation with Hal, Ollie went to a retreat that brought him back to City of Stars, where he met a young man named Connor Hawke, who was accused of being the son of Ollie. It has since been retconned Ollie Connor knew from the start and in fact she had left her child at birth, the most recent (and kindest) explanation is that Ollie felt that being a superhero was more important to be a father.
Shortly after meeting his son, Ollie sacrificed his life to prevent the detonation of a bomb and the destruction of Metropolis. During his short film "Death", was the son of Ollie Connor in the role of Green Arrow.
Thanks to god-like powers of his old friend Hal Jordan, Ollie did not stay dead for long. In order to get his life back, Ollie would have to fight the demons vying for your body, which sounds pretty awful, but he could once again increase in wealth and a new companion, the former prostitute Mia Dearden, of the test.
While in the hands of Brad Meltzer, Ollie is a road trip with Roy to work on their relationship and revealed himself as one of the promoters of a number of tissues has several villains secret and Batman. These wipes mind, revealed in Identity Crisis, eventually led to a complete breakdown of trust between the superheroes that had to be rebuilt during Infinite Crisis and its consequences.
Even after his resurrection, Ollie hooked back up with Dinah before broke again. Then, without even a date alone, Ollie asked Dinah to marry him and the couple finally said their last year, two years after to be on-again, off again.
Of course, during the ceremony, Ollie was kidnapped and replaced by an evil doppelganger who tried Dinah killing during the honeymoon, Olllie was led by the evil Amazons, and Connor was fired. Considering all the ups and downs in the history of the character of Green Arrow, which twist in the happily ever after (for now) ending should not surprise anyone.
